WHOLE 30 TAKE 2- day 1

Its January third and me, my mom, and Michael have decided to do a whole 30. After new years eve at Leavenworth- eating heavy foods heavily as well as drinking beers etc, it is a perfect time for a restart. Plus with our wedding coming up in September its great to get a jump on a healthier lifestyle!

Last night we made sweet potato and yam country style fries. We like to have both for variety. Basically we just cut them into squares toss them in a big bowl with whatever seasoning sounds good and oil. Cook at 425 for about 26-30 min. We used salt, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic, and cinnamon.

This morning for breakfast we ate them mixed in with diced chiles, yellow and orange peppers, and zucchini that we cooked in our skillet. Fried up a couple eggs to put on top with salsa and it was delicious!

For lunch I packed fruit, veggies, 2 mini larabars, and a loaded salad.

Drinking lots of water today too!

Michael sent texts to me of what he made at home and Im very much looking forward to eating it!!! Pictures below!
