    Reward Board

This was my latest pinterest inspiration. A "reward board"! This encourages good behavior through positive rather than negative. I made one for Westyn. He gets to pick his reward and we set together the amount of "good jobs" it takes to earn it. I love that it teaches him you don't just ask and receive all the time. Sometime you need to work for things.

Previous boards we used magnets but this time WE went for the quick easy X out technique!


12/19/2017 update: We've been doing this for 2 years now! He loves it and a great way for him to earn his toy.  I like that it rewards helpful behavior as well as the idea that you have to work to get something. Toys are like money, they don't grow in trees. He can put anything on the board as a reward and we decide together how many check marks in order to earn the reward.
